How To Create A New Opportunity In Salesforce

Ian and his sales squad accept already identified a couple of opportunities with two companies who are looking for a greener solution to their free energy needs—one nonprofit and one enterprise. Neither has much roof space, only they both accept lots of land, then the products that Ian's team is charged with selling, the ground-mounted solar panels, are perfect for them. Ian needs these opportunities in the arrangement as chop-chop as possible.

Considering accounts for the ii companies don't exist even so, create the accounts kickoff and and then create the opportunities. Then add together products to the opportunities using the Nonprofit Price Volume and the Enterprise Price Volume yous created previously.

Create New Accounts

  1. Click App Launcher icon to open the App Launcher and select Accounts.
  2. Click New .
  3. For Account Name, enter Boy Scouts of the Southwest.
  4. Click Save & New.
  5. For Account Name, enter Saito Family Laundromats.
  6. For Business relationship Currency, select JPY - Japanese Yen.
  7. Click Save.

Create New Opportunities

  1. Click the Opportunitiestab.
  2. Click Newand enter the details.

    Select Boy Scouts of the Southwest.
    Close Date
    Set for 1 month from now.
    Stage
    Select Prospecting.
  3. Click Relieve & Newand enter the details.

    Saito - Ground-mounted Panels
    Account Name
    Select Saito Family Laundromats.
    Opportunity Currency
    JPY – Japanese Yen
    Close Engagement
    Set for one calendar month from now.
    Stage
    Select Prospecting.
  4. Click Save .

Add Products

Using the Nonprofit price book, add a product to the BSofSW - Ground-mounted Panels opportunity.

  1. Click the Accounts tab.
  2. Nether Account Proper name, click Boy Scouts of the Southwest.
  3. In the Opportunities department, click BSofSW - Ground-mounted Panels.
  4. Click Edit, and in the Corporeality field, enter 20000. This is the expected revenue amount of the opportunity.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the Products section, click Action menu icon to open the deportment carte du jour and select Add Products.
  7. From the Toll Volume picklist, select Nonprofit.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Check the box to add GreenSun Ground and click Next.
  10. For Quantity, enter 20.
  11. Click Salve.

Confirm that the opportunity amount changed from the twenty,000 that yous input to the actual amount, eighteen,000 (twenty x 900).

Using the Enterprise price book, add a product to the Saito - Basis-mounted Panels opportunity.

  1. Click the Accountstab.
  2. Under Business relationship Proper noun, click Saito Family Laundromats.
  3. In the Opportunities department, click Saito - Basis-mounted Panels.
  4. Click Edit and, in the Amount field, enter 4200000.
  5. Click Save .
  6. In the Products section, click Action menu icon to open the actions card and select Add Products.
  7. From the Cost Book picklist, select Enterprise.
  8. Click Salvage.
  9. Select each checkbox to add these products.

  10. Click Side by side.
  11. Enter the production quantities.

  12. Click Save .

Confirm that the opportunity amount changed from the four,200,000 that y'all input to the bodily amount, 4,747,500 (twenty 10 100,000 + 35 x 78,500).

Impressive! You successfully used the custom toll books you created to add products to new opportunities. Next, Ian wants only his team be able to access these custom price books and accept the power to add together or remove products. Move on to the next stride, and set admission restrictions to the price books and products.
